Im now 1day post-op and I feel WONDERFUL!!!I had and awesome time over night and hospital. The staff was very attentive and caring. They did screw up may meds, had to argue a little, though. But that ok. My surgery was at 12pm and they started at 12:40. My hubby said I was in there for a long time. The Dr. did find a hiatal hernia and he fixed it, so no more GERD.

I had a private room, YAYYY!!! So hubby got to stay with me. I had to keep getting up to use he bathroom, that was not fun. I did find out about the nausea from sitting up. I was up walking the halls at 11:00 pm last night. I walked for about 15 min. I felt really good afterwards. I have very lil gas, its in the middle of my back. The only pain I have in where my port is, at the bottom of my stomach below where my port is. The top of my stomache feels like I have been doing alot of sit ups. They gave me Lortab liquid on once last night. I had some today. They were giving me  Tordal every 6hrs. That helped alot. I have a pain pump right now, that comes out Friday.

Overall, I think  I did very well. I got scared only when I was rolled in the surgerical room. I was joking with nurses. For the first time I got to see the recovery room. Never seen that room before...LOL!!!

Combined my hubby and I have lost 63lbs between us too.
Hubby started mushy food today. Im still on liquid, but Im ok with that (not really hungry ).
So now the REAL JOURNEY  HAS BEGAN!!! Im so HAPPY we have done this together, he is soo supportive and I love him so.  Im PCP told me the other day when I went to see him before I had surgery and he told me " DO you to have a therapist?" And I said yes, it we need to talk about food or how we are feeling. He said no a MARRIAGE COUNSELOR. I said why?? He said you to are going to need it because they have so many couples to break up their marriage after WLS. I said, well  we weren't this size when we meet, so NO we don't need a COUSNSELOR . I really don't need any NEGATIVE ASSUMPTION, about our WLS together. I think it was AWESOME for us to do this together. Not everyone is able to have what we have...
Well its time for my meds, so GOOD NIGHT...

YAY for both of you guys!!!!   Your Dr probably meant well about the marriage counseling but if you have a good marriage going in and you are both going thru it together you can watch for any issues that might arise and nip them in the bud ! Things will be great !!!! :) Glad you are doing so well after your surgery.
