Having a problem with upper abdominal pain and burping.

I've been banded for almost 4 years. Had to have my gall bladder out about 2 years ago. Ever since I had the gall bladder removal I get occasional pains in my lower left side/stomach. It feels like a stitch in my side and when it really flares up, that area will be sore for a few days. It's well below my port.  Had all the tests last year and everything looked fine with my band. They've chalked it up to scar tissue  after the gall bladder surgery???

The past 6 months or so I haven't had many issues ... until this week.

I noticed I was feeling a bit bloated and gassy earlier in the week and that has turned into a lot of upper abdominal discomfort moving into pain. Particularly after I eat! I'm also burping and having a lot of indigestion. I had a really rough night sleep last night and haven't eaten anything yet today. (still lots of burping though)

Anyone have any opinions? Think it could be band related?

I would call your band surgeon and get it checked out.  This isn't normal.  Good luck!

I am going to schedule an appointment but won't be able to get in until Monday.

So frustrating that after all this time I haven't gotten any more of an answer than possible scar tissue.
