Band removed today!

 So I had my band out today and I'm happy to report that I am home and doing well. No slippage or erosion just serverly tight. I didn't revise for 2 reasons 1- the $$$ and 2- being so sick  from this really just scared the wls right outta me. 

Hugs! I know of several that are afraid to revise after having the band. Glad you're doing well though. Hope you feel all better soon!!!

I'm so glad your home and doing well.  I just had my band removed last week but I did have a revision and I'm feeling pretty good.  In time you will heal and be able to make that decision.

Congratulations, evydog. I hope you heal up well and feel better. I understand how the band can "scare the WLS right outta" you. Believe me, I do!  After going through such a horrible experience, the possibility of it happening again is enough to say, "no way." I get it.

So glad that you are okay.  I did not have my revision immediately neither - I could have but I waited until I was as ready as I could get and that was reluctant.

My doc says, "now you have the stomach you wished you were born with", "now you are just like your girlfriends".  He'd say those things to me when I couldn't see better, brighter and he is so right.  It feels amazing to be able to eat every single thing and at the same time not have boundless capacity.

Get yourself to Weigh****chers or something like it where you can get monitoring and support - if you need it.  I'm the get all I can hold onto type of gal when it comes to my body/eating.

 Thank you. I had already signed up with weigh****chers when I had my band...I was doing pretty good until the gastritis took control... Go figure! The gastritis gave me 30lb weight lids so I'm happy with that, it's a good jumping off point! ;)
