123 lbs lost

I just wanted to say how happy I am that I received the lap band.  My surgery date was 8-19-08, and I have kept off 123 lbs.  This was the best decision I could have made!!  I run now for the first time in my life, and am training for a 1/2 marathon.  I never dreamed in a million years that I would have such an active lifestyle!!

Damn, I admire people who can run!

My knees are so shot to sh*t that I can barely walk fast. Arthritis is the only comorbidity that my surgery didn't fix!

Nice to hear from another successful bandster!  Congrats on your weight loss and exercise.  I am almost 4 years out and starting to work my band again.  I lost 80 LBS and kept it off for 3 1/2 years, I just had a fill a couple of months ago and are almost down another 20 LBS so I am still working my band and I have 2 pounds to go to reach 100 LBS lost and 4 LBS to go to get to onderland hoping to get there by Labor Day.

Congrats to you!  I am just beginning my journey & find myself getting alittle frustrated at times thingking I'm not gonna lose the weight fast enough but then think I didn't gain it overnight so I'm sure the heck not gonna lose it overnight. I can't wait to get to the point in my life where you are in yours!

Way to go, your bandiversary is coming up, happy early bandiversary!! Good luck on your 1/2 marathon. I too, have begun to run, exercise 5 days a week and am thankful for my band, too.
Keep up the good work!!

Congrats to another successfully maintaining bandster!

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!
