Banded for 8 1/2 years and looking for friendly support

I've had my band for 7 years, now, and love it just as much as I ever did. I lost a total of about 100 lbs, before emptying it to have my 3rd baby last year. She's now 4 months old, and I'm trying to find a doctor to fill my band here in Florida. My insurance doesn't cover the band, so I'm trying to find someone who won't charge $1K for an adjustment. I'd like to avoid flying back to NJ just for a fill, but that seems to be the most affordable option at this point. Anyway, I'm glad to see someone else who is happy with their band. There are so many horror stories. Best of luck to you :-)

I have been banded since 2008 and I am still happy with mine. I recently had my gallbladder removed and the doctor could not believe that I still have my band. It is great to see some people who have been banded for a while still on here. I support you!
