Gaining Weight?? WTF??

Most of all-don't panic.  When you lost the 8 lbs, it was likely mostly water anyway....so when you gained it back, it is still likely only water.  Elizabeth is right on target with what she said.

Don't stress over numbers on a scale or in the label of your clothes.  Gauge your success by how healthy you look and feel.  Really a 10 lb range one way or the other is what most "normal" non-obese people live in.

This journey is about health and well-being and too often we get overly caught up in a stupid numbers game (YOU aren't stupid-the games we play on ourselves are stupid).

Eat right, exercise and let it be.  Your body knows better than you what your "goal" weight is....and yes, you CAN fight it and arrive at a "magic" number, but is it worth it?  That is like paddling up river and wondering why you aren't getting anywhere!

I'll bet living in Manhattan is a blast!  Go run Central Park for me!!

Also please  don't forget  dear Jade that  the average Manhattanite  walks between 5 and 6 miles per day ....

so U may be gaining a bit of  calorie -burning muscle mass which weighs 3 Times  as much as fat of the same volume lol !  ...

I think Ure DEFINITELY on the right track and KUDOS to U  for pursuing Ur dreams .....

U may also have just gained  intravenous water weight (  its VERY  common )   hugs

If this is any consolation on last Tuesday I weighed 187 on Monday I weighed 196.8 this morning I weighed.....*drum roll* 190!!!!! So yes 8 lbs is not a stretch.  I would still watch my intake of crappy stuff and healthy stuff. Even though you may be eating healthy are you watching the sodium intake?

Girl you will be fine and keep enjoying Manhattan, I wish I was there walking everywhere being an absolute DIVA.
Just a few more steps to wonderland......and believe me I am taking baby steps (ugh).

Consider that a pound of fat is about 3100 calories. Unless you have been eating like a horse over the past couple of weeks and more than doubling your intake, the weight you have gained back is NOT fat. IV's are loaded with sugar and electrolytes and that can make you retain water. My recommendation would be to stay off the scale for a week, track how your clothes are fitting, and stay active. Also, perhaps it is time to integrate a regular excercise plan into your schedule. Walking is great, but if you want to attain the goal weight you desire, and then MAINTAIN it, you have to excercise... Congrats on the new move!
