3 Things for Thursday

Good Morning everyone:  Tia is at the dentist so I will start this off today.

Today I am grateful for

1.  another good night bowling :  managed over my average all 3 games and
my team won 3 out of four games .  And it was against the first place team.

2.  Dinner with some family tonight :  I have been debating on  skipping it and going
to my pool classes but I rarely have a sit down dinner anymore :  I eat dinner with
my parents once a week - tonight they are taking my brother and sister in law out to celebrate
her birthday and I am seriously considering skipping the MAC and enjoying some family time.

3.  For new purses LOL  Ren gave me some clothes to go thru and in one of the bags
was a rather colorful purse:  I started using it and I swear everywhere I go  someone
asks me where they can get one.  I never imagined a purse would start up so many
conversations.

So have a great day everyone  and remember SMILE ( even if you are at work )

Good Morning Everyone!

Today I'm grateful for a lot of things, but I'll narrow the list down....

1.  I was grateful for the opportunity to bring some cheer to to a wonderful lady while she's recuperating from her Lapband surgery.  I'm also proud of my doctor for doing such a great job with her!

2.  Today's Thursday (or Friday eve depending on how deliriously optimistic you are) and that means I don't have school tonight.  Going to school 3 nights in a row is a very challenging task.

3.  I'm just a day closer to the weekend!

Have an awesome day!!!!

Candy,
I think it's great that you push yourself forward to go to school 3 nights a week.  I want to do the same but just don't seem to see there being enough time in my life.  I guess it's all about priorities.

Maybe we can talk about this next time we get together and I can find out how you juggle work, family and other activities.

Best wishes to you in your continued scholastic successes!
~hugs~

Good Morning Everyone,

Today I am grateful for....

1- That I was able to take one more day off to get myself together before heading back to work.
2- My little grandson who came to visit me in the hospital and got on the phone today to ask me how I was feeling and to tell me he loved me! (he is 5)
3- My husband who is being half way decent lately (long story) but providing support.

Note to Darla- I am purse addict--I love purses I think it is an addiction with me!!  So I can relate to your thoughts about the purse and the conversation around it, I always take notice to a cool colorful purse.

Have a great day!!

Hugs
Terri

Darla, Good job on your bowling last night! Congrats for bowling over your average in all the games. I'm sure your team mates helped cheer you on!

As far as the purse goes, I was known as the purse lady for a long time. I collected them and had such an assortment of interesting purses that I kept them on display on shelves in my dining room.  Some of my favorites included one shaped like a boot, a Harley davidson handlebar bag, one made out of two license plates, and one made out of 2 record albums.

I have jewelry with purses on them (all gifted) and had 3 purse lamps.

I have finally rid myself of my purse fetish! LOL!  It seemed to diminish when people started buying them for me as gifts.... because they couldn't match my taste and they got their feelings hurt if I didn't use them.

I am glad you enjoy the purse... I've always found them as a great conversation starter! The more unique the better!

Ren - It's really not that hard for me because my "family" is just my husband.  He's supportive of me going to school, and has always been.  He works his full time job and then dabbles in his part time self employed work of building/rebuilding racing transmissions for drag race cars.  So the evenings I'm not home, he maximizes the time (most of the time) by working on his business stuffs.  When I'm home, he's usually home and just being with me.  So it works out well for us.

Of course, my family also consists of the people here at OH and a small circle of close friends.  Many of us are here during the day because we can be, so I spend time with my OH people during the day, and ocassionally on the weekends, I'll make time for a few of my other friends.

I am very driven and want to succeed, and at the age I am , and as competitive as the labor market is now, I need to get a leg up on the rest of the rat race.

My biggest aspiration is to work for the Federal Government.  But I keep getting passed over for not having enough experience and education, so I keep plugging at it and plugging at it.

Good morning Darla!  I was wondering where my Tia was this morning. Is she going to work after she is done with her appointment?

Congrats on doing great on bowling last night!
I love purses and girl having a great purse is always a good conversation starter.

Today I am grateful for:

1. Great friends!

2. My RNY the pouch rules and it will remind you that every so often.

3. My DSL is working fine.  LOL

Have a great day everyone!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Hey Darla!!  Thanks!!  Just a routine visit to the dentist to make sure my surgery had healed okay.  It had, but there was still a stitch that had to come out, which required a minute amount of pain.  THEN......he said, "This tooth here on the bottom is cracked - you're going to need a crown."  SIGH.  He wanted to make sure there was no nerve damage, so he put Insta-Cold on a cotton swab and touched it to my tooth and stood back and watched as I went through the roof!!!!  O M G!!!  He assured me that was a good reaction, because it shows the nerve is intact.  Yeah, fun.

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  Dental insurance - It might not seem like I have good insurance, but I really do.  I'd be paying out both nostrils instead of just one if I didn't.  In a day and age where people don't have jobs, let alone decent healthcare insurance, this is a blessing.

2.  I found the Sobe Lifewater 0 and will be trying it shortly!!

3.  That my K is so dedicated to her passions.  The band concert last night was actually a compilation of several area schools, and was a fundraiser for the Baltimore Saints, an ice hockey team comprised of special needs children.  The team was there, so it was a nice way to see where the money actually goes.  I learned that B joined the chess team at his school, and I'm so grateful that they have these opportunities.

NOW FOR A PSA FROM TIA:  GO TO THE FAMILY DINNER.  I KNOW YOU AND I KNOW YOU LOVE THE MAC, BUT I ALSO KNOW YOU'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOURSELF IF SOMETHING WERE TO HAPPEN AND YOU DIDN'T GO TO THIS DINNER.  THE MAC WILL BE HERE FOREVER, YOUR FAMILY WON'T.  'NUFF SAID.

Have a great day!

Tia
