Oh course it doesn't bother us :  By reading the board it may help you to make
a decision as to which surgury will be right for you if you  decide to even have surgury.
It took me years to decide to take the leap!!!!

Tia you are right! I remember coming home from school and heading back outdoors and I didnt come home until the street lights came on.

My son has been doing karate for over a year now and my husband FINALLY got off his horrible 4 to 12 shift so he finally got to join back last night. It kicked his butt too but I was so proud of him. Here is this 330 pound man on the floor doing push ups with all these young kids and skinny adults. He kept up with them too. Im so glad I finanlly talked my 14 year old into joining too because she's overweight as well and really needs the exercise.

TIA!  I MISSED YOU SOO OOOOO MUCH!  It was not a normal day yesterday here without you!  I couldn't bear to be on the OH site without you.  We're literally joined at the virtual hip!

Heels?  My feet hurt often, so often that I swore off heels, but I think I'll celebrate getting into one-derland by getting a pair of stilettos......but that won't be for a few months unless I get Jilly to be my personal trainer - I'm still trying to wrap my mind around 2 - 3 miles a day - and where?!?

I hope everyone has a great day!

My things today are:

1.  I found another laptop from the Dell Outlet that is closer to what I want as far as gaming capability.  So when I get that, the purple Dell is going up on the block for sale.

2.  I literally stole a wireless printer from the Dell Outlet and the shipping is free.

3.  Hubby is going to help me move the futon into the 2nd bedroom upstairs so I won't feel so claustrophobic in our living room.  I swear - we need a bigger place.

4.  I was able to vent on what I had going on with me that I hadn't mentioned to anyone here before, and I felt a lot better after I said it.  Thanks to you know who!

5.  We have a beautiful day today and that it's Friday EVE!!!!!

Greetings Everyone!

I can't believe it is Friday Eve again already! Where did this week go???!!!

Today I am grateful...

1 - That I went to the gym last night. I came so close to talking myself out of it. I had not been on the treadmill for a full workout in over a month, not since the last time my knee acted up while on it! I am a little sore today, but I am going to try again tonight! I really would rather do the pool, but I am giving the rash on my foot more time to heal. I do think it is getting better.

2 - I had a decent food day yesterday. The scale was much kinder to me this AM. I think the loss from yesterday to today had to be water weight. I had been eating too many salty carbs. I pushed the fluids yesterday, plus the workout put me on a better track. I have set a mini goal to get as far as I can before my check-up with my cardiologist next Friday. It would be great of I could get back to my lowest post-surgery weight again by then.

3 - For a sunny day! Yesterday was sort of gloomy, although it suited my mood. Today is infusing me with energy and detyermination.

Hey Deb!!!

Sounds like the gloomy day yesterday didn't do ANY of us any favors!!  I'm really glad it's a nice day today!!!!!

Be kind to that knee, cause you KNOW it'll tell you when it's not happy!!

Salt???  O M G!!!  I LOVE salt.  UGH!!  I bought some olive tapenade from TJ's - WAYYYY salty, but SOOOOOOOOOO good!!!  I'm thinking of mixing it with something to cut the salt a little, perhaps some tomatoes.

It's hard, I know, to keep on track - a daily struggle.  You can do it!!!!  I have faith in you and look at the AMAZING progress you've made!!

Hugs,

Tia

Thanks - My mantra to myself for today is, "It is my choice". After all that is what it really boils down to. I need to make the choice, hard as it is, to eat right and exercise regularly.

Tomorrow I have an appointment with the PT to learn what the proper exercises are for my knees. My otho MD thought this would help me strengthen them up so they do not bother me as easily.

Tia,

I cut the Caponata with a can of diced tomotoes and it diminished the overly sweetness!  I'll betcha that works with the tapenade as well!
