When I need crunchies and salt - I hit the pork rinds - they have ZERO carbs......

If the crunchy salty desire doesn't go away eventually - may want to check your iron levels - sometimes being anemic can get you going after the chips.

It can also make you crave ice to chew!

I remember the pork rinds from one of the diets I had previously tried. It was good as a "bread crumb" for baking chicken also.

However, it's unfortunate that I just don't care for them as a snack, but thanks for the reminder of them.

I know I need to get some labs done. I'll call this week and make an appointment with my Dr.  Thanks!

Well - we tend to get cold easier as post-ops right?  So why in the heck would we ever want to chew ice? LOL!

Not specifically us, silly!!  People who are anemic sometimes do.  Although I was and I didn't!!  And you understand that, right?  LOL!!!

I really like Trader Joes Salted Pretzel Peanut Butter Nubs-- you can have 11 as a serving and they're really good ( I have to hide them from my husband).  Have you tried pita chips... they're not too bad either.

Hi Ren,

I go through that too and I must say that my new crunch snack is Kashi go lean crunch. I eat it alone or I add to my yogurt.  It had protein and fiber so it is good!

Have that when you what to snack.

Hugs,

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
