Topic: RE: Anthem BCBS of CA... 6 month supervised dietary program question

I have the insurance you are asking about and the answer is "No", you do not need a 6 month supervised nutritional program, nor is a requirement in MD. Some policys within BC/BS do and my surgeons preapproval office made a mess of mine by assuming it was a requirement. I insisted they speak with my company and notified the office supervisor of her employees roadblock which got things rolling again. Sometimes you have to be proactive. Good Luck! Thanks for th advice, Cira.

I am doing wonderful!  I can sleep on either side and am walking like crazy.  I always try to include steps in my walks.  This evening, I walked around the entire Arundel Mills mall.

These would still be kinda far for you but Holy Cross in Silver Spring has one 2x/month and Shady Grove Adventist in Rockville has one weekly on Thursdays at 7p. Ask your surgeon's office if they have one at UMMC?

Topic: Remembering our fallen Military Heroes!
I want to wish everyone a wonderful Memorial day weekend.

Remember to say a prayer for the family of our fallen heroes.  This weekend is a day to reflect on how unselfishly these heroes give their lives for our freedom.   Just a few days ago 7 Americans died. This weekend is not going to be of celebration but of grief for their families.  Please take time to honor everyone that has given their lives for our country.

Remember to choose healthy meals and snacks and always think of protein first and hydrate well and exercise even if it is for a little bit.

Take care and have a great day on purpose.

Welcome to the Loser's bench!   Yes right now you have to take things easy. But protein is still first for you.  You just will have it in liquid form.   It is very important to try to get in as much as possible because it will help you heal faster.

I absolutely love DVR he saved my life and I am so happy that I learned to first love myself!  It is the only way to live happy and be successful in our new journeys.

Sip, walk, sip, sip, sip, walk , sip...   welll you get the idea. lol

How are you feeling? If there is anything you would like to talk about I am here for you.

Take care and I hope that your recovery is a swift one.

Cira,

When I first started coming to this board, people would post "feel goodies" and I was like whatever.

I just read this one today and you are right - you must love yourself first.

As for the protein first, hydrate well, mines the opposite at this point.
