I'm just over 6 months out RNY, no issues yet (knock on wood).  I have been very lucky when it comes to food.  I can eat almost anything I want to, which is sometimes a bad thing.  Well, last night I was dying for something to eat after supper so I went to the cabinet and prepared a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Cruch (I know, I know...).  I ate probably half a cup and sat back down in front of the TV (I know, I know!).  Well, within a few minutes I started feeling "bad".  I finally got up and told the wife I was going to bed.  Within a few minutes of getting in bed, I stated to experience flu-like symptoms and nausea.  I got up, walked around but it didn't help.  Pretty much classic symptoms, BUT HERE"S THE KICKER.  I had a fever.  Probably around 101F.  I was shivering and tryly begin to think I had a stmoach virus, but lo and behold.  I am FINE this morning.  Yeah, weird.   Has anyone ever heard of dumping with fever??

OK Jason if "you know, you know" then why? Yea I'll probably be the bad guy here, but why the HELL WOULD YOU DO IT! I mean you know and its not so much what you ate but the habit your flirting with. Yea I'm a DICK but I don't get it? Glad you got sick, hope you continue too! I hear more and more guys say well I don't dump OK how you know unless you've keep eating forbidden foods! When I say I hope you continue to get sick you know I mean I hope your WLS will keep kicking in when will power doesn't. Truly Best of Luck Rocky Top

A-FRICKIN'-MEN, Bob!!  WHY would ya even do it?  We take all the risks associated with this surgery in order to have the tool to beat obesity and to have a better, healthier, more enjoyable life. Why the hell not use the tool to the max instead of pushing it to see what or how  **** foods much you can eat? That is just dang crazy to me! C'mon guys, get your heads on right!!  Jason, stop that chit, man!!  You have risked too much and come to far to start f'in up!

OK, you may now remove the size 12 EEE boot from your azz, Jason!

No problem Bob,

I actually need someone to remind me how stupid it was.  I was just worried about the fever, I had never head of a fever accopianing the dump.  I'm sort of glad it did happen, because, let me tell you, I NEVER want Cinnamon Toast Crunch again!

Right now, HAND OVER ALL YOUR REMAINING CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH CEREAL TO SCOTTIE!   (no wait, that's Cookie Crisp cereal he likes ..   )

In terms of simple carbs, it doesn't get much better than those cheesy breakfast serial. Dumping on a fever, now that sounds sweaty.

As for the "badness" of it? I'm on a diet where I carb load twice a week, so it doesn't seem so bad to me.

Try the Natual Hormonal Enhancement Diet (Extique) or The Fat Burning Diet.

Best Wishes,

Dave

It's funny because the only thing I've eaten so far that has even remotely caused anything close to dumping has been cereal (Life, to be exact).

I still eat it regularly but it does make me feel weird when I eat it on an empty stomach. If I have it as a evening snack it doesn't bother me as much but for breakfast, I will start feeling weird about 20 minutes after eating it.

My thoughts are that it has to do with not only the amount of sugar these cereals have but the fact we're eating it with milk which makes it go through our pouches much quicker than if we were eating something "dry" that had the same specs.
