I am OVERWEIGHT now!
Well I am officially overweight and tipping the scales at 215. The great news is that I am no longer OBESE or MORBIDLY OBESE or SUPER DUPER MORBIDLY OBESE.
That is right today my BMI is 29.9 - I started at 59.2. My guess would be that I weigh less than 195 because of all the excess skin I am carrying around - I have skin on my butt, upper inner thighs, belly, back, and tons and tons on the deflated moobs.
My next goal I will hit in a few weeks will be to be less than half the man I started - 3 more lbs and I will weight 212 which will be a half a lb less than half my original weight of 425.
I still have a goal of getting to 185 but I will be most happy when I am out of the 200 lbs range completely.
Keep working at it all you can keep losing weight even when it doesn't come off easy like it does at first!

Congratulations. I hope that some men will file your post to help them stay the course as they work to continue to lose weight. I ask that you periodically post here so we can here about your progress and continue to be inspired by your story.
I'm especially impressed about your journey. When I had my RNY, I was told that I could expect to lose between 200-250 lbs ( I started out around 576) but that I would then expect some bounce back weight. Once the Men's Forum started, I started seeing some posts by men who had started out super morbidly obese who had gone down to being overweight. I do know that age and ability to do exercise does help with that weight loss. When I started out I thought that I could only go from being super mobidly obese to becoming morbidly obese or simply obese. the men who have started out as super morbidly obese and have become overweight continue to impress me.

I will try to continue to post. I was told to expect to lose only 60-70% of my goal weight. I was not then nor am I now going to sit back and let that be my success story. We all have limitations but we can find ways to excercise. I have asthma and running is too difficult for me. But weight lifting, biking, and walking as well as stair climbing and other exercises that work for me.
I started out just walking in my house back and forth. Then after a few weeks I was able to walk around the block. Before you know it I bought an exercise bike and was riding a couple miles, I was able to work my way up to 40 miles in one sitting.
We can all do it. It take time and commitment.
Good luck to all the men in the locker room!
