I shoveled the driveway... no slowblower.
Now, my doctor has warned me about the extra strain on the heart caused when a person bends over to pick up a load of snow. So I guess you could say that I "pushed' the snow, instead of "shoveled" it.
I feel good.. Not even sore muscles. If you decide to shovel. be careful. take your time.

Gonna stuff my calorie limit and then some today. Snow shoveling makes me shiver thinking about it.
Will go skiing Monday or Tuesday. That'll burn some cals
Good health and best wishes

Herc, very happy for you and that it went "uneventful", but what your doc said is VERY important, guys .. One of the top causes of h.a.s are shoveling snow for the first time of the season .. This is sometimes the first serious physical stress for some guys in many months, years, or even decades .. What makes it doubly-dangerous is not only the physical activity involved, but the low temps you are in when you do it ..
I have posted before about how important it is for post-ops to undergo a full cardiac screening before taking part in races, triathlons, marathons, etc. This includes an EKG (stress test preferred) a chest x-ray and an echocardiogram. The echo will show if you suffer from an enlarged heart from years of high b.p. or other problems, which sometimes can show no warning symptoms. If you were/are diabetic, you could have been having damage done to your heart muscle earlier w/o even feeling it (i.e. angina pain), due to central neuropathy.
Be careful out there .. you had the WLS to live longer, don't forget ..
