DUMPING
Hope things get better, i can't offer much advice on that because i literally never dump. Don't know if that's a blessing or a curse, as i'd rather have the threat of dumping to scare me off certain foods, but hey, everyone is different. Hang in there.

At 4+ years out I still get uncomfortable if I eat too much chicken or shrimp. Add a spoonfull of rice and forget it. Too the toilet I go to puke a bit. Here is a thread about dumping:

Man, I do miss Dx E's detailed posts. I suggest that anyone who is having a dumping problem should go to the link you gave and Save It so you can refer to it in the future. I've saved many of his prior posts and other helpful posts from this Forum. OH works on an open format and anyone can read our info through Google or other search engines. Rather than go searching for a subject, I find it easier to keep my OH messages and hints in a special folder.
At two years out I only get slight dumping when I eat certain sugary foods like cereal/milk or something like that. I can have a pinkberry with toppings and have no problem though so my pouch is weird.
I think I wish I had it though so I could stop with the sweets. I am thinking of doing the 5DPT to just get my carbs down. Thankfully I'm doing fine on the weight but I am pretty into my workouts and I want to cut this last bit of fat I hold around my lovehandles. That's not coming off until I cut the refined carbs!
Good luck to you...

I'm over a year post and experiencing trouble with FF milk. I used to have it every morning. That cold smooth fluid and hot green tea for my vits
I dont play with sugars or bad carbs, but I know about how much my pouch will hold. Been burned several times eating to much to fast.
I think I dumped several times early on. I mean cold sweats, shaking, toilet time, and 2 hrs of plain misery.
I limit what I experiment on since I can eat most anything now and its very easy to graze and gain.
Good luck

I'm five months out today.
I don't know if what Alaskaman describes with the chicken is "dumping". It sounds more like something which results in what some call the "foamies". When you eat poultry or other dry meat, it gets stuck in my chest. I undergo about an hour of an agonizing feeling that's almost like strangling. I feel like I want to puke it up, but usually i just spit up tiny pieces of chicken mixed with mucous. Thus "the foamies".
The closest I ever came to what is described as "dumping" was in my immediate post op weeks. When I would eat yogurt or protein bars that were relatively high in carbs, I would become nauseous and drowsy. Since then, I have cut down on carbs and never tested my propensity to dump because I haven't tried candy, cakes or sugary food at all. I'd rather think that maybe I can still dump.
