Looking at college scoreboard had a few upsets. Oklahoma beating Alabama in Tuscaloosa and will give credit to A&M for their rally to beat S. Carolina. State got their butts handed to them by Missouri. Bye week next week then Ol' **** for the Egg Bowl in Starkville for final game of the year.

I was up early, but didn't have anything to post, so I waited for Don to :-)
Totally forgot Tuesday is Veterans Day. My dad was in the Navy during WWII. He didn't talk much about it ecxept he hated the reconstituted powdered eggs, and that by the timing of gunfire was relative to how close planes were to the ship, and eating iguanna in the Philippines.

Mississippi State beat Arkansas yesterday!! 
38-35. Almost 200 yards in penalty yardage, mostly personal fouls, to wit: late hits, targeting etc, on their part worked in our favor. Wake up this morning and game is being rerun on SEC Network. So much for the talking heads.

Woke up to fog here. Foggy in Starkville too. After leading most of the game State lost to Texas in OT! 
May have a chance with Arkansas. They are above Kentucky and below us in the race for the basement in the SEC.

The nice weather streak is officially over for our area. I hired an apprentice from work to scrape another side of the house and then painted it myself. I think I'm all done and will get to another side next year. Somewhere down the line I will spend the money and get it sided. Ladders beyond 6' are not a good idea for me :-) Cooler temps and rain in for forcast with only a break next Friday. That may be a grass cutting day. Pool is covered and pump/filter and all supporting stuff put away in shed.
I even got some garlic planted, going to try my hand at that.

Yes we got trip into State Fair this week. Wound up parking this side of some town in Egypt rode tram back to Fair. We shared a Fletchers Corny dog, they are huge, and wandered around some. No rides though. Was warmer, more crowded and nosier than anticipated so not stay long. We were trying to find tram stop to go back to parking lot when wife face planted over an expansion joint in the concrete. One small cut above right eye but no stitches. Black eye starting to slowly fade. DPD and DFR have some really cool tools and good people! When you have the budget I guess you can have nice things.

Down a couple of pounds recently due surprisingly to dental work. I was prescribed antibiotic Amoxicillin Clav and it blew out my system for for several days till I stopped taking it. I didn't realize it's a no go for bariatric patients. Now a week or two later I'm still having to watch out for immediate bathroom access when I'm out and about. All in all, it's still a worthwhile tradeoff.
Football and baseball in NY have gone from bad to worse. Hopefully the Knicks will be good.
