Has anyone lost over 100 lbs with the SLEEVE?
Pick me, Pick me ! ! ! I dropped 138ish pounds in 10.5 months with the sleeve, dropped the first 115lbs in 6.5 months with the sleeve, and honestly, I can say it wasn't difficult. I followed the rules, stuck to the program, got to goal, and my body decided to drop 25 more pounds over the next 4 months until it finally settled at a final weight of 125lbs. Now, I've been easily maintaining over 6 months.

600-800 calories a day, no more than 30gr of carbs, 60+grams of protein, and 60-80oz of clear fluids per day. No snacking, no alcohol, no junk during my losing stage. Once I got to soft solids/mushy foods, I ate 4 meals per day, with each meal consisting of a minimum of 15gr of protein that gave me my protein goal, some days I fell short on calories, but always kept my carbs in check. That's the key to my success, low carb, lots of fluid, protein dense foods.
I didn't start really working out until I was 4 months out due to a complicated revision from the band. But, once I did start, I weight trained 3 days a week, and did one day of hard cardio.
The one thing I never did was second guess myself or sell myself short on being successful. If you don't believe in yourself, and are negative, that's the results you'll get. Turn all the negative into positive thoughts, and remind yourself that you're worth it ! ! !

When all is said and done, I expect to have lost 120ish pounds. My initial goal is 100lbs which would put me at 150 and then I will reassess then. I lost 20lbs presurgery and 32 in two months. Those are pretty good!
Look at the tickers around here, a LOT of people have lost 100+ with the VSG. It is a great WLS choice.
Good Luck and I hope you make the decision that is right for you.

I have lost right at 100 lbs and it is not quite a year since surgery. However, there have been several people that have lost 150 lbs and more with the sleeve. They don't come on here much any more. As people get to goal, most of them drift away. I think there is a forum for people with over 150 lbs to lose, you might check that out as well.
I should post more here, but lately things have been going great and I have been staying busy with work, University of Phoenix, and a 5 month old baby boy (and my 3 yr old daughter). Anyways, I had the sleeve on May 8th, 2009, so about 18 months ago. I started at 346lbs, I'm 6' 2" tall. I dropped a total of 144lbs, the first 100lbs took about 7 months, and I reached goal at the 1 yr mark. I've maintained my weight (203lbs) since then. The sleeve was definitely the right choice for me and I have never regretted it, not even during the pre-op/post op diet. I live a normal live, eat what I want, but now have the much needed portion control that was lacking before.
Good luck on your decision to get sleeved and just know that no two people will loose the same amount of weight at the same rate and that stalls happen and there is nothing you can do about it but continue to do what you are doing. I've had my share of stalls and never let it bother me. I knew eventually my body would give up the fight to hold on to those fat cells and the scale would start to move again. This place is full of great people that have been through and are going through this experience and you will find that most are willing to help however they can.
