I wouldn't worry ... Especially since you are feeling fine!  Take some sugar free cough drops with you. I had a cough and it didn't hurt to cough after ...

Surgery is January 20 - but my throat is sore and I'm coughing quite a bit.  I hope to be better by then, but I'm thinking coughing after surgery is going to be very painful.  Should I reschedule?  I really don't want to, but I want to be sure my recovery is speedy.

ps..I don't have a fever and actually feel fine.  Just allergies.
