Anyone heard from Amelia (ajordan)
Here I am! I just got home from the hospital a couple hours ago and the first thing I needed to do was take a 2 hour nap in which not one person came in to poke, prod or otherwise annoy me! My husband called Buffy to let her know I got through surgery ok, but not until late yesterday afternoon, so she may not have gotten on here to post yet.
Surgery went fine. Recovery sucks, but it is getting better fast. I really didn't have much for pain other than some back pain (they gave me a heating pad) and a feeling like a stitch in my side but all the way across my rib cage. Once they took out the drain (an event I don't care to describe) I felt tons better. I think a lot of it was also gas, because once that started rumbling around (I thought there was a herd of buffalos in there!) the back pain eased.
so now here I am, walking, sipping, eating lots of red jello...... feeling pretty darned good. got on the scale when I got home and am UP 7 pounds - I know it is fluid, but STILL.
Oh, and I was next door to Wendy, another one of our OH peers, so we chatted a bit. That was pretty cool. My ride home to Albertville was nauseating to say the least, so I am sure her ride to Norwood was even better.

So glad to hear all went well and you are on your way to a speedy recovery! I am sure the boards will be a little quiet due to the lodge gathering. I was planning to be there but woke up with a bit of a "bug" today and spent much of the time in bed feeling pretty lousy. So, rest and sip - oh - and don't forget to walk!
