GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK
Towards the end of the 2 weeks I got really tired and was glad to have 5 days off before surgery day.
I look back on it now and feel really proud that I did it.

If I'm not mistaken your surgery is on the 22nd like mine
only 13 more days!!!! .... You know this next two weeks may be difficult but then YOU CAN DO IT!!!! It really is a small price to pay for all the benefits you are going to get from the surgery once you have it and start shedding those lbs! I have been doing a self imposed regimen
since August 22nd and I can see results already!!! I fortunately do not have to do the two week liquid diet!!! but have been doing 2 shakes a day and a small meal at night, using a baby spoon to eat with (boy oh boy!!! has this been a real eye opener for me! but is helping me to learn to take tiny bites and chew well)... I have been walking 30 minutes a day and doing 15 minutes of upper body workout in a chair, I do 50 breathing exercises a day also. I make sure I drink 64 oz of water, and take EVERY dose of all my meds and vits. 3 x's a day. I am hoping with just these changes pre~op I will make things a bit easier on myself post op?You undoubtedly are going to experience hunger but like Jan says you just have to keep your eye on the prize!!! and it WILL PAY OFF!!!
My suggestion is try and stay busy so you are not constantly thinking of food all the time..... I nearly have my whole house cleaned from top to bottom! ~tee hee
I will be thinking of you and wishing you the very very best!

Kudos to you for setting up your own regiment. I know i have to take my meds, but my vitamins make me sick if i don't have something on my stomach, so i don't know what to do about that. In the meantime you keep up the great work. I have to go and buy my baby spoon to train myself. Lisa- 13 more to go.
You'll do fine. Just keep yourself occupied and you'll be so glad really soon.
Hugs and prayers.

Lisa,
Do you take your vits at the same time you drink your protein shake... that is helping me to take my meds and vits since some of the shakes are milk based.... at least it might help pre~op?
Some might think that baby spoon thing is silly but I tell you I have learned more from that than I have anything in a long long time..... boy oh boy how much I can shove in my mouth and not even taste it all that much.... that baby spoon is making me stop and think about every bite I take and also it takes a bit for you to "feel" fullness and with the baby spoon you are eating slow enough you can get that feeling on much less food... don't get me wrong... I still want to eat a whole bunch and I've had to fight every day with the food thing... when you are used to eating as much as we have it's going to take time to re~adjust our thinking about things.....
You post as many many times as you need to ...... I certainly do not have the answers ..... to alot of things .... but I do have compassion and "feel" your pain! I will pray that the Lord helps you thru this next 13 days... don't give up you WILL do this and do it with success!!!
The dear lady above was right I have worked way too hard and been thru way way too much to get where I am today not to do everything I can do to make this work!!! It's very very hard ..... but it's not the first time I have had to do HARD and I'm sure it won't be the last..... so be encouraged dear friend you are going to be so very pleased as I am at the results of all this hard work!!!
