Deb, I do the same thing sometimes.  Water seems to hurt when I drink it plain.  If I drink SF koolaid, it's not so bad.  I don't understand.   It's really hard for me to actually EAT food like eggs & potatoes, seems like it always gets stuck.  Even if I chew to mush.  I'm mostly sticking to soups.  I keep forgetting that I have a ton of SF applesauce.  I might try that later.      (((HUGS))) Angy

OK this is going to sound stupid or what ever but do you have some meat tenderizer in your kitchen??? if so go put some in your hand and lick it with your tongue....if it really is something stuck it will dissolve it...if it isn't that then you may be developing a stricture which hurt when you eat but is an easy fix in the surgeons office ....they just stretch it and it is OK...if you have papaya tablets that is the same thing. too.

Thanks Jan.I do have meat tenderizer but i already hacked up the hairball. So for now i'm better,Other than even drinking. fluids makes me feel like something is stuck.
I think i'm gonna be like Ang and stick to soups and pudding. Food just ain't worth the feeling i get from eating it let alone the hairballs. LOL

I carry the papaya with me at all times.  I have a recipe using the meat tendorizer and some other ingredients for use when food gets stuck but I would never get it down.

Well like we were told Thursday, it is normal.  I usually vomit a little and after a bit it feels better.  This is the reason I am so afraid to eat anywhere but in my own home.  Eating is scary for me.  I cannot do just soups though.  I hate the shakes so I have to eat foods high in protein.
