Hotel Room in Utica, N.Y.

I had my surgery  June 2nd. We stayed at the Red Roof Inn. Rate was $64 per night. Rooms were clean and comfortable and included small fridge and microwave. Staff were absolutely wonderful and accommodating.

We went over for my consultation and stayed at the Radison...an excellent hotel....pool etc....Rooms were $99 with Dr. Graber's discount.....and it included breakfast buffet which was excellent...they have sleep number beds there.....room had fridge and coffee maker.....

i know you won't be eating breakfast but your room mate will .....

I really don't know what to expect for the consultation, does Dr Graber send you for any blood work or anything?

We stayed at the Radisson for my consult... it was very nice.  Then we stayed at the Hampton Inn when I had my surgery... it was nice too!  There is a "Graber Rate" at the Radisson and we got a government rate at the Hampton Inn.  I would recommend either of these hotels... both clean and comfy.  Full hot buffet breakfast is included M-F at the Radisson and continental breakfast is included at Hampton Inn.  Both had micros and refridgerators in the rooms.

Well if you are eating then I found the food excellent....waffles, pancakes, sausage, eggs....etc...plus fruit and juice...and it was included with the price of the hotel......they even have a business centre there so you can use the  computer if you don't have a laptop

You have the blood work done in Canada.......

You are given a book with all the info in it ....to keep track of appts etc.....I was quite surprised hom small the office seemed but i was impressed with the furniture....everything is made bigger to accommodate us who don't have skinny butts......My husband looked so funny in the furniture as he doesn't have a weight problem....Excellent metabolism....he's 5'10 " and weighs avbout 175.....and he is a cook so he eats....

You will be given a surgery date when you are there.....Maybe you will be there the same time as me....Mine is October 1st....i could have had it sooner but wasn't ready for August 21...

Oct isn't that far off, after all, I've been waiting for almost 2 years after speaking with my gp two Christmas's ago about wls, she advised to investigate and made sure that is what I wanted, Hello, I have thought of nothing else, when I walk, climb stairs, try to tie my shoes, take pills for diabetes, hight blood pressure, high cloresterol, spell check please, LOL, etc, Have made up my mind and think that this will be the best thing I can do for me, my body and my heath.
