Dr. Treki - Windsor

Hi, was just wondering if anyone here in Windsor has been to see Dr. Treki and if so, was he helpful? My doctors office said they were referring me to an endocrinologist to try to treat my symptoms but he is listed as an internist. All I know is that I need something to change and will be ecstatic if we can figure out how to make the sick feeling stop. On a completely unrelated, very OT note, I am currently insomniating and very worried about my lumpy miniature schnauzer who goes in for surgery at 9 this morning. I wasn't this worried when she was spayed or when she had a lumpectomy many years back... I hope I am worrying for nothing..

Dr. Treki is WLS friendly in terms of signing papers for weight loss surgery. This I know as many
people in our group had their papers signed by him.

As to whether he'd be helpful with your OHIP pursuit with DS, I have no clue but at least you know he's open minded about WLS.

What happened?

He is associated with OHIP "centre of excellence" here in Windsor. He said my surgeon and I should decide which surgery I should have. I agreed and told him I'd consulted with Dr. Gagner. He said he'd refer me to Hagen. I said no thanks - I just want you to treat my symptoms then. His intern was super nice and went through my history thoroughly. He didn't, told me he could see why after 2 approvals OHIP now says no surgery - because I failed : / . I am going to stick with him for now for blood work and to see dietician, I need to not be sick anymore.

I hope your Miniature schnauzer is ok.  I have one too, named Bella.

Thanks Joyce. I have 'The Incredible Doctor Faustus' Faustie and 'Lady Miss Tiarra Noel' Tia - who now looks like the dog from nightmare before Christmas - but she made it through : )
