What a huge disappointment for Candace. But this is major surgery so you have to be in the best condition possible to have a good recovery and outcome. Hopefully they can find out what happened and try again in a few weeks.

Ha I figured out how to post!

Thank you all very much for your well wishes. I am very disappointed with what has happened to me. I really did expect to wake up with a pouch

They are not sure if I had an acute asthma attack, or anafalactic reaction to the meds. I have been given huge doses of steroids and antihistamine was given when I couldn't breath.

I am glad to be alive... But wish things went off without a hitch!

I am going to ask about a spinalto see if that
would be safer.

I feel okay, but they wanted to keep me in to
monitor me as I apparently have a lot of drugs
on board. Apparently it took a whole puffer to get me breathing.

Thank God you're ok and they are looking after you.  Your surgery will come....when it's safe.  Take good care of yourself.

So sorry for you Candace.. but glad that Guelph staff is so careful... better safe than sorry... You will get there soon... dont loose hope.. it will happen and I am pretty sure that surgeon will try to get you in as soon as possible considering what you went through...
