How many did Dr. Bernstein?

I went to Bernstein back in the early eighties and back then the shots were something to do with pregnant women's placenta or other weird stuff.    Eventually he was forced to stop giving those shots but back then we were told it would make us lose weight.  Of course the only thing that made us lose weight was being on a 500 calorie diet in ketosis.   Sad how desperate people like myself were back then (and now.)

There is an all male weight loss program in downtown Toronto that I have heard good things about.  I can't remember the name but I'm sure you can google it. There is support meetings, nutrition and exercise counselling all geared to men.

Nope - never did. Weigh****chers? Yep - too many times - I could teach it (even though I could never keep it up)... Herbal Magic? Yep - once. LA Wt Loss? Yep... Nutrisystem? Yick - yep.

Interesting info on past criminal charges regarding Dr Bernstein from the nineties.

Seriously, how this guy hasn't been sued into oblivion is beyond me.  I would pay BIG money to see this guy and his death diet exposed.  

I guess he gets away with all he has because he has the bucks to pay top lawyers and he's careful to take advantage of all the rights and claims he can make as a doctor.  Very sad really for vulnerable patients.

Plus Shame, successive govt's have refused to regulate that industry.  You have to be licenced to put a freaking pipe under someone's sink, but there are NO safeguards for the dirt bags that prey upon people via "diets".  

This guy is someone I would LOVE to see fall big time.  He's one of my all time peeves and I will dance a jig the day he's sent to prison for the damage he's done to people.

Never did the Bernstein diet but everyone i know who did, gain their weight back.
What is the South Beach diet like? Is it restrictive too? Is it easy to follow?

 probably about 7 or 8 years ago 5 women in my office did this.  2 ended up in the hospital and another one's gp told her if she didn't quit he wouldn't see her as a patient anymore.  All 5 of them gained weight back because they couldn't do the maintenance.  However, I do know a guy who did it cause his gp told him not go to bac****il he lost 200 lbs because he was on the verge of a heart attack.  So he went to dr b and did just that.  but I haven't seen him for awhile.
