Parking around St. Joe's Hamilton - insane!
I would have parked on Markland but the traffic was crazy and they have that construction shack in the intersection. I used to park on Markland when I was a student nurse doing my clinicals at St. Joes. I'm not adverse to walking a little but the side streets are so bad right now with all the snow I didn't think I could find anywhere to park. Of course too I'm right at lunch time when it is probably the busiest time of the day. I'm thinking honestly of parking somewhere up on the mountain and taking a bus down the next time I have to go to St. Joes. I could park at Limeridge Mall and take one of the buses right down the Jolley cut and get off right beside St. Joe's. Probably take longer but less stressful and potentially cheaper than having to park in the garage. How much is the bus in Hamilton now anyways? It's been ages since I had to ride one.
I looked up the fares, $2.55 cash or $2.00 for a ticket. Not cheap but will be cheaper than parking in that darned garage and wasting time and gas driving around looking for a place to park.
We used to live really close to the mall, just up on Mohawk and Upper Sherman, one of those apartment buildings across from Zellers. That was the best! Across from Zellers and a grocery store and a 5 minute walk to the mall. I loved it! Makes me miss some elements of living in Hamilton. Do not miss the traffic!
