Ottawa Orientation
Unless things have changed you will receive a call to meet with the nurse. After this appointment they will give you appointments to meet with the behaviorist and dietitian. Both the appointments should be scheduled back to back. Hope it happens for you soon! Best of luck.
In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.

Hey Muddymark,
My timeline is in my signature. Ottawa has been pushing a bunch of people through so that the wait from referral to orientation is shorter, but that also probably means the timeline for post-orientation for all the followup meetings will increase a bit. You'll probably hear soon, but when you do, can you let us know so we know the general timeline for others waiting?
Good luck! And amen on the frustration of waiting.

Don't you think that the receptionist gets a million of these phone calls a day asking whether or not I should have heard anything yet? I don't want to upset anyone, however, I don't know how much longer I can sit and think of this every single day of the week. Also, I have company coming the end of the month, and don't want them answering the phone and having to take a message. That puts me in a situation of having to explain a lot of things which is none of their business. Advice: do you think I should call and what should I say?
Thanks!
Thanks!
You're going to receive a bunch of calls from the clinic if there are follow-up appointments. I've received 3-4 already over the span of 2 months. So, you may want to keep that in mind for when the process is going.
Calling in my case was fruitless. They would just state that I was still in the system and they would contact me when it was my turn.
I called yesterday just to have a nutritionist call me back in regards to a couple of problems with Opti-fast. It too 24 hrs for a return call and then i was transferred 3 times again with the end result being an immediate caal back.
What i figure is that they do not listen to their messages often... And it is a miracle to get a live person!
You know the saying "the noisey bird gets the worm" so it never hurts to call to remind them you are waiting..as i waited from Feb 2010 to Nov 2010 without a noise, until i called, then my file started moving. I hated to call, but did at my doc's insistence!
