That sucks Tracey!!!  I may be behind here and you may have mentioned it already, but has your sewer been scoped/camerad.  I ask because we kept having back ups, one after another adn when I finally had to make a claim, I insisted they come camera it.  The city came, saw the roots from a big tree we have out front (but it could have been from city issues, which is why the city came)and we ended up getting a company in to pour something down the sewer to kill the roots (plus we took the tree down).

That was last year and knock on wood, all has been good, thank God cuz now the decutible on the insurance for sewer is $2000.00.  CRAZY (and thats not just for us, that's across the board for everyone....yikes)

Anyway, hope everyone starts to turn around for you.  hopefully the only was to go now is UP UP UP!!!

Marianne,

We had a big downfall of rain overnight Sunday.  About 200 homes apparently had sewage backup.  We had the city here and they flushed the main line to make sure it wasn't their problem and it was still trying to come in so we had the plumber come over and he sent that snake with the spinning head on it through our sewer pipe and then it worked for 24 hours.  Started to back up again last night.  We asked them to do the camera but once the snake came out and water went through fine, the plumber said it was a waste of money.  So now we called them again and they are coming back and snaking it and using the camera I guess.  Our deductible is $2000 as well, seems to be the norm.

There are no trees anywhere near anyone's front yards here so we are thinking either something is washing back into our sewer pipe from the main line or our pipe might be broken and pieces are falling in and blocking it.

And to add to all this mess, we were getting our bathroom renovated starting 2 weeks ago and we had to fire the contractor after a week, for not showing up and ruining our new floor to only find out last night when we had new contractors come in that the first guy didn't put the tub in right and didn't do the plumbing properly so now we get to have our bathroom gutted again and start over on top of the basement flood.

OMG and YIKES!!! A nightmare, holy ****!  So sorry you are going through all this.  I was stressed dealing with a "simple back up" issue that took months to fix, can't even imagine all you have and are going through!

Thinking you should be adding plenty of wine to your menus ;)

Hi everyone,
Firstly...Tracey, what a horrible mess. I can't even imagine the stress. Sending you my best and hope things get sorted soon.
Secondly I am trying to step it up a bit. I haven't lost weight in a couple of months and although I haven't gained, I think I am losing sight of the goal .
So back to basics for me. Back at Fitday to track my eating. Upping my exercise (god I'm a slug at heart...grrr).
I will post here and lay it on the line.....feel free to critique my eating if you wish. Be kind though as menopause is a killer!!! lol

B coffee with skim milk, 3 oz chicken (couldn't face an egg today)
S 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt with 1/2 mango chunks  (more coffee between breakfast and snack)
L 4oz fake crab with seafood sauce,  small SF yogurt
S 2 turkey pepperettes +/- a plum
D 3oz chicken with salad and dressing (1TBS dressing)
S 2 Melba toast with 1tbs peanut butter and a small banana

30 minute walk with the dog
vitamins

What kind of protein (in numbers) is in the "fake crab"???

How many times are you walking the dog? Is increasing your walk time an option, maybe to 45 mins?

I don't know if I would eat this, maybe it's just me... Too many carbs and sodium and not enough protein for me and it's "fake".

It's only my opinion tho, no offence ;)
Others may eat this tho ;)
