So I had a Tea Party for my daughter's birthday on the weekend.

I just had to share cuz it was so cute.

We had heart shaped scones with jam and whipped cream, finger sandwiches in heart shapes and a makeup area with glitter, feather boas, white gloves, tiaras and makeup...it was awesome!

The best part was this cake!!

I, alas, am not so gifted in the patience or creativity market.

Good gawd, me either. lol  Thankfully there are many talented people out there.

This is adorable!

Cakes have sure come a long way from the ones my mom made for my birthday.  Picture the domed top of the home made cake, covered in icing (well mostly covered) and the crumbs that showed through or were stuck to the icing, and filling...what is that again? 

Don't get me wrong, mom had a heart of gold...but her attention to detail was a little lacking.  We were grateful just to get the cake, and were even more thankful that it had icing!  LOL

That is so adorable!!!  The girls must have had a blast!

awwww, so cute!   Wish I could have a tea party, but my three boys would be mortified.  All my cakes are super heroes and NHL teams.  Way to go mom!  Those are the memories are kids will always remember.
