I am on day one of Optifast. Think I might make it with a bit more water and add flavor it tastes like cake batter to me...lol Only 20 more days to go....My question is as I am handing out freezies to the kids on the hottest day of the year so far, has anyone made popsicles with their Crystal ligh****er? is that allowed. I figure if I can drink it, I could freeze it too and enjoy an icy treat too!

Yup...you can freeze it and make popsicles.

I'd like to know if anyone has a technique to make them softer like real popsicles.  I find that whenever I freeze juice, it's rock hard.

the only way i know of making them softer is to add vodka. lol

There is a recipe somewhere on OH that you add SF jello as well to the Crystal Light. I tried it, but I must not have mixed it well enough. Part of the popsicle was way too fruity. It seemed to work and kept them from getting rock hard.

Found it. You may want just a bit more cold water. Mine were really strong.

1 package of jello
3 indiv. packets of crystal light
1 cup of ho****er and 1 cup of cold water

Mix 1 cup of ho****er with jello mix ( I like lemon). Mix in 1 cup of cold water and 3 indiv. packets of crystal lite (I use pink lemonade). Pour into popsicle containers and freeze. Calorie wise mine worked out to be 5 calories eat and were delish. I also tried orange jello and orange-tangerine crystal lite.

I know jello is not allowed in guelph on optifast but I did make these popsicles and they can be crunched on without fear of breaking your teeth.

1 pkg SF jello
3 indv. pkg of crystal lite

I've tried orange jello and orange- tangerine CL
also lemon jello and pink lemonade Cl

Add 1 cup of ho****er to jello, mix well
Add 1 cup of cold water to mix and mix in Crystal lite

run ho****er over the molds to release the popsicles

3littlepigs    I just had my surgery in Guelph May 25th and on my Optifast list from Dr. P.H I was allowed sf jello and s.f popsicles.. so maybe they have changed it?

Thanks for the recipe.  Humber allows both SF Jello and SF Popsicles.  Nice... especially with this weather we're having!  :)
