"Miracle Noodle" ...a little skeptical

So, I happened to be in Markham today and took the opportunity to visit the Low Carb Grocer.  I bought some yummy things.  Here's a list:

*Just the Cheese (baked cheese crisps, like "chips", I guess)-various yummy flavours

*Big Train Low Carb, Blended Ice Mocha Mocha Mix (made one tonight- to DIE for)

*Wasabi flavoured,  roasted soy nuts (10 grams of protein for just 1/4 cup, and a great cruchy snack)

*Miracle Noodles


I have to say that I am very leary of the noodles.  They are not at all what I expected.  I was looking everywhere for them on the shelves as I thought they were a dry product. I was quite shocked when the clerk directed me to them, and they were packaged in water in a bag.  All they had were the fettucini, and I have to say (***Disclaimer: don't read any farther if you have a weak stomach, and plan to enjoy this product any time soon***).  They kind of looked like I imagine a tape worm would, and I can't get the image out of my head, so even though I bought them, I don't know if I will ever open the package.   Good thing they are shelf stable for 4 months.  LOL  Anyone want some  Miracle Noodles??? 

OMG! I tried these during my low-carb days and they are the WORST things I've ever put in my mouth and I've eaten insects! Good luck to you. Going in was bad - the texture of them is disgusting. Going out - even worse! It looked like I pooped out worms! TMI, I know but I warn anyone who posts that they bought these things.

Gross!  I probably wouldn't even be able to pick up the bag.

Marny, you have to rinse them really REALLY well.  They taste fishy if you don't.

OOOOOOOkay, that confirms it.  I am officially offering up my Miracle Noodles- free of charge.  I might even go so far as to drop them off at your door. LOL  That is if anyone wants to try them after this post!  I thought I could be a big girl and "suck it up", but it is not even worth it.  Not quite sure why I put them in my cart.

Marny, that is so funny.  My husband and I were just cleaning out the kitchen cupboards and had quite a discussion about the miracle noodles.  They've been in there for 3 or 4 months and I haven't been able to bring myself to make them!

"Suck it up..."  

Maybe you could bring them to the next support group meeting for a good laugh and maybe a willing victim.

*gasp*  No thank you!

I have some of those in the back of my fridge. I can still see me hubby's face when he stumbled on them "what the HE'LL is THAT?!?!"

I have tried them, once you get over the look of them and rinse realy realy well there r not that bad, kinda takes on the taste of what u r cooking, although my son who can eat anything did not like them either, I would buy them again when I get the urge for pasta.....
