TWH Referrals - Yay!

I finally got up the guts to give Toronto Western a call today to verify that they had in fact received my referral from the Bariatric Registry.  I hadn't done this previously because I thought I would keep the call for further down the road when I was feeling like the wait was bugging me - well it's been bugging me!  Heh.  I called today and expected to get a voice mail but I reached an actual person!  I asked her if she could possibly confirm that she got my referral from the Bariatric Registry and she said that yes she could!  (I was silently cheering at this point since I know that many times people don't even get call backs). 

So the answer is YES!  They did receive my referral and the even better news is that she told me to watch my mailbox because they are working on December/Janaury referrals right now!  Hooray...that's me!  : ) 

So I thought I'd share here so that TWH referrals know where they are at this point with referrals!  I've been waiting 5 months so far.....I hope I get into an August Orientation!  : )

So excited I could squeal!

 That is good news, I am so glad I just had mine referred over, I couldn't see myself hanging on for over 1 year before an orientation.  Good to know.

My wife had a January 2011 referral and has the June 21 orientation at TWH - perhaps its becuase i have 2 appointments that day as well - your getting close - hang on - maybe we will run into each other at TWH 

Ohhh!  This is great news!  I believe my application probably got in at the end of January so maybe i can hold onto hope that I will actually have a July orientation!  Wouldn't that be grand? 

I hope we do run into each other at TWH because that means we're all on our way to wellness!

 My referral is dated for March 7, 2011...so I'm thinking maybe I will get a September or October orientation date.!!!  That's not too far off!  
Thanks for posting this update about the referrals.  It has really lifted my spirits! :)

I figured there were some people out there who could appreciate this kind of news : ) 

I thought initially that I wouldn't see orientation until October so this is amazing news to me!

 Seems to be a 5-6 month period, as my referral was December 2010, and I was supposed to be at the orientation last week (June 7th), but had to postpone to tomorrow due to lack of transportation.

Not too bad in the grand scheme of things.

Thank you for the update!! That means my orientation date is coming in 1-2 months as my referral was february 16th, 2011:)
