Hi

I just replied to you on your hungry post....but looking at your menu - most of your food is slider food

protein shake - good but this will only keep you full for so long....you are early out so really it should be OK....but its not dense protein

lunch looks good - 1/2 chicken patty is dense

diner - ground chicken in sauce is really a slider type food - which is good at your stage - but not dense so it may go thru your pouch quickly

I would dump the almonds - not filling enough and high caloric.....add a little fruit to your yogurt or some twig type cereal for extra volumn

if hungry still - make your night snack a solid

see if this helps you

Good luck
Barb

Thanks Barb... will try your suggestions tomorrow for sure. I definitely notice being hungrier sooner after foods like shakes/yogurts, but am also feeling the same... for example, after lunch today. I've switched dinner to lean pork instead of the ground chicken... will see how that goes. Really appreciate your help with this.

A note on the almonds: I find they REALLY fill me up, but don't keep me full long. My RD and OH support group leader said it's important to keep a little (natural) fat in my diet... what else do you suggest? I'm only getting about 20g a day of fat and that includes the 8 or so from the almonds.

Good morning ladies!  Have a great day at work!

A few appts today, one being at our new Bariatric Assessment Clnic.  Instead of flying to Hamilton now, I can stay here and receive my follow up!  I  had a visit last week with the nutritionist who was quite impressed with my "menu", in fact, at one point i think she "doubted me" lol but I i told her I do fall off the wagon plenty and have my daily struggles too but I do know the rules and I try my damndest to follow them.   |We spoke more about the "head" issues and as a result, she suggested I see the SWer there.  I had seen one previously but it was through EAP and I feel better going to this one at the clinic because they are more 'trained" and knowledgable about the WLS.  So I jumped at the opportunity as the head issues are a huge part of this journey....for me anyway.  I was quite impressed with the facility and the team they have on board.  YAY!!

B - protein shake

S - cheese string

L - greek yogurt and 2 ham roll ups

S  - protein bar

Su - steak, salad and veg

S - not sure yet, maybe nsa jello and more greek yogurt

Have a great day everyone!!

Morning all :)

My freakin' Internet is down at home - had to come to work to get caught up on OH. lol
Had a nice weekend, despite having to work yesterday for a bit.  Gorgeous morning here today - too bad I have to work!  Leanne, how was the 'Hip?  Lisa, sorry you're not feeling well.  Marianne, I think it's fabulous that you have the opportunity to see the SW where you are, that's excellent.  Judy - short and sweet, just like you! :)  Gaby, are you and Wendy up for a cawfee sometime soon?

B - coffee with milk x several
S - 21g old cheddar, 1/2 Granny Smith apple
L - tuna sandwich with tons of veggies, hold the bread
S - 21g old cheddar, other 1/2 of apple
D - NO CLUE!  Totally disorganized.  I do have some leftover fajita guts from the weekend, so likely that.

Have a fabulous day everyone!  Off to get "caught up" here. lol
