 Everyone,

So here is where I stand.....I have had my Pre-Op done result was great no Iron pills needed woohoo. I purchased my Optifast yesterday at my Pre-Surgery Education class. I took all Chocolate. Total chocolate for 2 weeks. I loved the taste the vanila just didn't do it for me (tried a sample of both)  is all I have to say for the vanilla one. Optifast starts July 27th. I am no longer over whelmed with Vitamin or Protein issues. The nutritionist cleared it all up. Man the class was amazing and now I feel happy and can't wait to start my new life. AUGUST 10th I will joining u all on the LOSERS bench. Make room and keep the seat warm until then.

I just want to say thank you to all who gave great information. I do apologize for being such a pain sometimes with the questions I had. You are all great people

Im gonna be a nosey nellie and you definitely dont have to answer this but I'm asking out of curiosity...

I see that your surgeon is Dr. Christou - was there a reason you decided to go to Montreal to have the surgery?

Not a problem ask away....I live like 20 mins from montreal. The south shore of montreal that is. I wanted to stay closer to home as possible. An update Dr Christou is not going to perform the surgery. I accidentally put his name and don't know how to change it. The dr is at the same office as Christou. I am going through medicare and his a privet dr for this type of surgery.

Makes sense to go where ever is closest.  It boggles my mind when I read people travelling 4+ hours to get to an appt.  I always feel so bad for them.  I live within walking distance from Humber hospital.  Im glad they placed me there and not Toronto Western or St. Mikes.  If there's a problem, I wanna be able to get to my doc ASAP.

Congratulations and you were never a pain!  It is all very overwhelming in the beginning for sure!

Now I'm being curious, which surgery are you having and do you have a choice with medicare in Quebec?
