Working out with Muscular Dystrophy

I just wanted to ask if there is anyone out there who has any type of muscular dystrophy. I have Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy and find it very hard right now to even walk long distances without getting tired. I am glad to be getting this surgery as it will reduce my weight and give my legs that better support to hold up my body and allow me to do more excersices.
If anyone has this type ofr any type, what is your solution to getting the required exercise needed? that will not make you to tired fast. When my legs get tired forget it I have to sit down if not I will fall down and have a hard time to get up.
All posts or suggestions is welcome as well
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Is specialized physiotherapy an option for you? Or does a local MD chapter offer members services or groups like this?

Hi Karen,
There is local physio for this type of dystrophy but the thing is it's all the way in the city and the Mercier Bridge is always an issue so I try and avoid it at all cost. When I have to go for my yearly check up I go. I don't have the time to be running there everyday as I work FT and School FT. I emailed the DR if he had any suggestions that I can do at home. He has yet to get back to me. My mom and sister said they would walk at night with me which is awesome. Well when I get that free time with school/work. I plan on walking while at school on lunch breaks since I won't really be eating like I use to hahaa. I am loving that part. As for the groups and such I am not sure and have not been given any information from my DR. I was diagnosed a few years ago and been trying to come to terms that I have to live with it and try and make the best of it.
