OT: Opinion on the Magic Bullet for Pureed foods
I didn't like mine - gifted it to someone here on the forum. I much preferred my full sized blender or my mini food processor.

I LOVED mine because it was so easy to clean. Just throw each cup into the dishwasher. No big parts to clean and easy to lift out of the cupboard due to its small weight. I still use mine to this day. Some things don't do well in it (like ice) but for what I use it for, it serves me well.

Thanks for the replies, would you say that it is good for pureed foods as well and mixing protein drinks? I read online that it is good for smoothies, protein drinks and pureed foods. But there is so many positive and negative comments about it. Some said that you have to use small ice cubes for the smoothie part. For it to work best only 30 seconds at a time. I might just try it out and see. It is only 39.99 at Canadian Tire so it won't be a big crazy waste if it is not good.
I found it worked well for pureeing foods as long as there was enough liquid in it, otherwise it got really dry. I have a fridge that makes ice cubes, so they tend to be a bit smaller and easier to crush in the bullet. Maybe that is why it works well for me! I make protein drinks all the time it in too and my daughter uses it for smoothies often.

I love my Magic Bullet. I bought it for the Optifast stage and it was terrific for mixing my shakes and since I bought the 'single shot' version, I found it was really easy to take to work. I still use it for my protein shakes because it crushes up the ice so well ( I like my shakes really cold) and my husband likes it for his smoothies. I didn't like it for purees, like others have said - I found my hand mixer better.
I would be totally lost without my KitchenAid immersion blender!!! It pulverizes a full tray of icecubes in my Optifast without any trouble at all!! I use it for making apple sauce and home made spaghetti sauce. One of my best kitchen investments ever!
I do own a Magic Bullet but really find it powerless next to my immersion blender.
