Where did you get the blender from? I have one but it takes a million years just to blend up a milk shake and I think it might be dull or something IDK. I just doesn't do the trick anymore.

Ok, to clarify; an immersion blender is one of those tall hand-held ones that you put into whatever you are blending?  Cuz I can't imagine one of those crushing ice.  If so I am going to go and get one.  My Magic Bullet only seems to work well on fluids and I can't even get it to properly crush frozen berries.

I like the magic bullet for things like making slushies with my protein powder, scrambling a bunch of eggs to make egg bites and other really liquidy things.

It does not work well for purees though, since there's not enough liquid. For purees, hummus, big pots of soup etc I really like the Black and Decker immersion blender my parents gave to me last Christmas.

If I had to choose, I'd stick with the immersion blender. My has attachments too, a whisk, the regular blender and a food processor attachment.

i found that it was very cheaply made. I used my full size blender and my immersion blender, much better.

I really like my magic bullet.  I have been using it all along for everything.  I will be on pureed in 2 weeks so was preparing foods today, just add extra broth so it doesn't get dry.  I made smaller batches and poured it into a juice jug then it was easy to pour into freezer bags in 1/2 cup portions to freeze.  I have to say the stuff looks awful, hopefully it tastes better!

I bought my KitchenAid immersion blender from The Shopping Channel about 5 years ago and have never had a problem with it.  I just checked the site now and don't see any on there.  It was around $99 when I bought it and worth every cent!   I'm sure that stores like The Bay would have them.
Good luck!
