Hello Everyone,  I have not been posting much but lurking.  I am hoping to participate more on the forum and get to know people.  I am hoping someone has had plastics on the arms to remove "batwings".  I have a real peoblem with this and am hoping to get it repaired.  Is there anyone out there who could share about the process?  Recovery time?  Do you have any use of the arms/hands during recovery?  Cost?  Where did you have it done?  Appreciate your information sharing!  Thanks

How far out from surgery are you? this is a concern of mine too. I'm hoping that there will be some "spring back" of the skin, because i don't like the scarring in that area. If I'm gong to have to wear sleeves because there's too much scarring, i may as well save my money.

keep in mind that surgeons prices vary, depending on what actually needs to be done..I have heard that this surgery leaves a very deep dark purple scar,

But then again I recently read of someone who had it done who's scars weren't as bad as they had anticipated..like all plastic surgeries, as to see before and afters

Yes Karen -

I have been working out with a trainer for 9 months to see If it would make a difference - and unfortunately no

You know I really hate how my legs hang around my knees - I wear shorts and skorts often when golfing....and dresses to work....and it just really bugs me

Not looking forward to another surgery and I understand this is a difficult one....but I made contact with my plastics guy yesterday to get the ball rolling

hope I dont regret it

My legs never used to bother me at all - they looked pretty good, actually.  Then, in the last year, all of a sudden they're all saggy and blah! I used to wear shorts and short skirts all the time - not anymore.  A girlfriend of mine in the states had a thigh lift several years ago and she was very pleased with the results - very painful recovery, but good results.

I've heard of the painful recovery....but I do think they bother me enough to at least investigate the operation

I'll keep you posted

Hello Barb,

Yes, you have the right Linda.  I have lost about 160lbs. but would still like to lose another 30-40lbs.  Thankyou for the compliment however!  Do you mind me asking who you are seeing for your leg lift?  Is it someone here in Burlington?

I used Dr Achilles Thoma out of St joes - I liked him and my surgery went very well

Do you ever see Laurel?
