Morning Leanne

I love ham/cheese/pickle roll ups too....they are great to take in the car in a small cooler with some water - they are one of my go to foods....(along with shrimp ****tail)

On a three day migraine.....I get this infrequently now that I am older....I have stopped taking Tylenol as it really doesn't help when I get the three day kind.....should be over with tomorrow and I can get off the carbs.
Does anyone else find they need bread when they get migraines?

B - bagel with light creme cheese

s - protein shake

l - chili or soup and 1/2 sand

s - cheese string

d - out - fish and veg.....maybe a small roll if still headachey

All water and vits

Have a great one

HI Leanne

I havent heard of this before......I wish I had known of this 10 years ago.  I used to get migraine once a week - figured they were rebound from medication I was on to treat them....bad cycle

I used to take fiorinal with codeine....old medication....I couldnt take most of the new meds - ended up in hospital after taking migranol ...

Now that I am in menopause I find I get migraine rarely....maybe every quarter now....though they will last a few days

thanks for the info - will pass on to my niece who suffers like I did with them

Morning all :)

Mmmm.. I love me some meat/cheese/pickle roll-ups too!
Barb, sorry to hear about the migraine - not sure about the carbs, but I do know in general when I'm not feeling "well", carbs seem to sit well.  Go figure. lol  Hope you feel better NOW.

B - coffee with milk x2, protein shake
S - 3 melba rounds topped with tuna, likely another coffee over the morning
L - awesome homemade rib/steak/veggie/pasta soup (thank you Joe! xo)
S - 21g cheddar, 6 or so Rainier cherries
D - either more of that soup (if I'm lazy), OR grilled chicken thigh topped with avacado and red onions
S - not sure yet - likely just tea

Have a fabulous hump day!

I have been craving avacado (NO idea why) for days - finally picked up a couple yesterday.  Actually, I've been craving the grilled chicken/avacado/red onion combo.

I"m weird.

What you said about also craving carbs when not feeling well

I had a good sized bagel with some coffee ( yeah drank it after the bagel which is something I rarely do - drink after eating)....I feel so much better right now....nausea and migraine almost gone.... must be something in this theory re carbs when feeling sick

There must be, you're right.  Maybe because they're bland?  The mere thought of protein or veg if my stomach is off or if I have a bad headache simply turns my stomach.

good morning.

sorry to hear about your migraine Barb.  Never had them much (a bit when i was way younger but never again...knock on wood) but know they suck big time.

I Sooo get the carb thing when under the weather.   Even after this surgery, I couldnt eat protein for breakfast in the hosp.  I ate soda crackers and then in the hotel I had to have a bagel.  Now I'm feeling better and the thought of those things turn my stomach so I had ground chicken casserole for breaky lol.

Been craving fresh fruit tho...nectarines, cherries, strawberries, bananas mmmmmm

Plan for the day, just had a shower, hair wash, changed some dressings where the drainage tubes are and I feel like I've put in a full day lol.  I'm wiped :)....so I will rest.  That's it.   But oh boy the swelling has come down dramatically in the boobies and the top part of stomach.....likin what I'm seeing :))).

Have a great day.

B - pastaless lasagne (ground chicken, cheeses, sauce)

L - Salad with Tuna

S - protein bar or greek yogurt

Su - bbq boneless prok chops, veggies

S - cheese/pickles/hotsauce

Water and vits in :)
