This is so very tragic. You're a good strong friend to have around - the family will need your shoulders to help get them through this nightmare.

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora. Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.

OH GOD, that's just terrible, terrible tragic news.

I'm so sorry.

I have no words of wisdom, only to look after yourself so you can be there for your friend, she is going to need you now more than ever. She and you will have a long road of pain to get thru.

Pull strength from each other, and be there for her, but also you will need a shoulder to help you as well. I know how we are with our extended families and you will also suffer this loss.
