I frigging did it in 3:11 !!!!! That is run/walk 1/2 a marathon(21kms).
I thought my hips were going to fall apart the last 3 km but we did it. Props to my girlfriend who bravely did it with me. Even though the rain and wind didn't let up, we kept going! I was so emotional crossing that finish line...I couldn't help but shed a few tears of happiness!!! We did it and so can you all! What our mind believes, our bodies achieve( stole that one from my daughters swim coach).
Now hopefully I can manage to walk tomorrow and go to work!! Yikes
Thank you RNY!!! I love my new life!!!
Next year we plan on doing it in less pain and 2 hours!!!

So happy for you. I am doing my first 1/2 Marathon November 6. I am nervous my only goal is to cross the finish line standing. Not worried about the time. I am sure next year you will do it in 2 hours. You can do anything you set your mind to.
