after surgeon appointment how soon will surgery be?

HEY EVERYONE!! MY NAME IS ASHLEY IM HAVING GASTRIC BYPASS AT ST JOSEPHS IN HAMILTON I HAVE DONE ALL MY APPOINTMENTS MY SCOPE AND JUST GOT MY SURGEON APPOINTMENT FOR OCT 18TH I WAS JUST WONDERING IS THERE MORE APPOINTMENTS AFTER THAT?? AND HOW LONG WAS EVERYONES WAIT FROM THE SURGEON APPOINTMENT UNTIL SURGERY I KNOW IT HAS GOTTEN ALOT FASTER BUT IM JUST COURIOUS MY FRIEND SAID HIS WAS 3 WEEKS!! UT OTHER PEOPLE SAID 5 MONTHS!! SO I HAVE NO CLUE MAYBE IT JUSWT DEPENDS ON THE BOOKINGS AH THIS WAITING IS KILLING ME!! LOL

Hey there, I wrote you on the other forum, my time between my scope to surgeons appointment was May 13th and my surgeons appointment was Aug 24th and then my surgery is booked for Oct 19th

and I just got the call for my pre-op today with DR. GMORA for October 12th. You will have to attend an education class before you get a surgey date but I believe thats it.

yes i tried to add u but i cant for some reason thats not bad of a wait ony 2 months!! is dr gmora your surgeon? he did my scope yesterday very nice guy he found a polyp and removed it!!! everything has happened really fast latey like al appointments within 1 week to 2 weeks time i got my surgeon appointment for oct 18th but not that last education class and no surgery date when do they give you your surgery date at the surgeon appointment or they call you and book it un between those times?

ya they will call you after you meet the surgeon and give you a date. It took almost 5 weeks for me which seemed like forever but it could be a lot worse!

Thats true im being so impaient lol but the appointment from the scope to the surgeon was fast i had my scope yesterday and they called me today saying i had a surgeon appointment on oct 18th so thats a good sign now its just to go to that and then go to that education clas and get the date!!! plus the wait is horrible at other hospitals st joes has been fast i started the end of july and im at my surgeon appointment now all the best thanks so much for the info and help and best of luck with your surgey!!
