my surgery is on Tuesday and I feel so unprepared....

Can anyone give me a list of things to bring with me to the hospital?  and what should I wear there, just like trackpants and a tshirt?

Any advice would be great!

Bring sine reading material, 2 pairs of socks and some slippers or slip on type shoes. Undies, toiletries if you plan to shower there (if you're there long enough)if you have a small fan bring it. My room was boiling. Bring your own pillow feels more like home. No need for vitamins yet as they are supplied.
Good luck you'll do great!

Sabrina I would wear comfy cloths that you plan to wear home. I would just bring the basics like lip gloss, some magazines, toothbrush and paste, deodorant, slippers , socks and a house coat.
Leave your valuables at home and have your loved ones bring them after surgery. My. hubby brought my ipad to me after surgery and it was a god send.

All the best with your surgery and I'll see ya on the bench!!!

Last minute nerves make everyone feel that way.  I can't think of anything else that you will need at the hospital but wanted to wish you all the best on Tuesday.  We will be saving a spot for you on the bench.

I brought so much stuff and didnt use hardly anything, not even my laptop or books, I was either up walking or sipping the whole time I was there, i wore my comfiest pants and baggiest **** and thats all i wore once I was out of the gown they give you. I say bring a toothbrush, they have the paste and for sure lip gloss and hand cream, its dry in there.

I brought a lot of stuff that I didn't need either as the day of surgery I was in bed all day and not up for anything other than asking for pain meds. The next day I was up but just wore a hospital gown and my housecoat. I prefer to wear my own shoes in the hospital because honestly the hospital floors are filthy, don't wear the slippers you wear at home, wear regular running shoes or shoes that are easy to slip on, you probably won't want to be bending over too much. The third day I went home so I had a fresh set of clothes for that. So: housecoat, easy slip on shoes, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, lotion if you have dry skin, lip balm, a magazine or book but don't go crazy taking too much stuff.

I totally get that unprepared feeling.

You'll do fine. You've had some good advice given to you already, i can't add to that.

Just breathe.

Hugs.
