Hair Loss Question
Hi Everyone!!
I know this has been asked zillions of times in the past but I would like to poll everyone that has experienced hair loss as the result of WLS.
1) When post op did your hair loss start?
2) How long did it take for it to stop falling out?
Thank everyone

Love your new avatar photo Ann; you are looking really good.
My hair loss started after about 6 weeks and my hair dresser says that I'm getting some regrowth slowly. I think I still lose a fair bit at 11 months out, but it may just be the "normal" everyday amount but I'm more sensitive to it post op not sure.

started about 3 months. slowed down about 6 - 7 months out.
I see new growth now, too, my hair's all frizzy with the short hairs sticking up.
It wasnt major, nothing i can't live with, i never felt like i needed to cut my hair off or buy a wig or anything.
btw - love the new pic!!!!! you're so gorgeous!

Mine started falling out around 3 months and when it started it was horrible!
I could have made a wig. I am only 6 months out and it has started to slow down. Seen Dr. Reed on Tuesday and he said it would probably start growing back between 8 and 10 months. Thank Goodness.

I'm at about 4 months out and really notice a lot of loss. Nothing that shows bald spots or anything like that, but when I bru**** a lot more is on the brush or my hands than before surgery.
Im not too concerned about it. It's only hair. It'll grow back and if it doesnt...I can always buy some :)
PS. LOVE your new avatar pic!
