Milestones restaurant
I just wanted to add that in my experience Milestones is great about accommodating your order. I went there on my first day of soft/solid foods as I was out of town for a conference. I had already tried salmon on pureed foods, so I knew it was okay. I asked if they could steam me some salmon instead of cooking it with sauce and/or oil and they were happy too. They also steamed some veggies for me (with no butter). They only charged my $10 for the meal, instead of the normal price (which came with potatoes and bread I believe).
Don't be afraid to ask when you are out, many restaurants will make it as you order it!!

I took another look at the app menu. The soup is probably my first choice, but The Honey Phyllo Shrimp might work, if I skip the honey dip. Not sure if shrimp would be too rich, though.
The Spicy Thai Chicken Drummettes or Crispy Asian Chicken Bites also have some merit. Of course, whatever I pick, I'll only be eating a small portion of it.
And all of this depends on what the dietician du jour says at my appointment. I have a feeling one of them would not be as amenable as the other two, and I'm sure anyone who has met them all would know exactly which one I mean... She is lovely and experienced and knowledgeable, but I feel like she doesn't really listen to my questions, and offers very little explanation for her answers which all sound to me like 'well these are the rules and if you are not going to follow them you're not prepared for this surgery...' Fair enough that I have to prove I'm committed, and I am, but I want more info.
Anyway, I seem to be in a really whiny mood today, so I should just shut up...
