Where to find Spectrum Multivitamin Chewables in Ottawa

Hello again,

I live in Ottawa and have checked 6 Shoppers Drug Mart stores looking for the Spectrum Chewables multivitamins. I found the 50+ ones but they do not have enough iron. The book I received does not suggest any other  chewablemultivitamin.

Can someone please let me know where to find them? Or suggest another chewable brand? Can I crush a regular mutlvitamin into my liquids post-op or does it have to be chewable?

I appreciate any advice/tips!

Get those vitamins and supplement other iron. It's best to supplement iron separately anyway since calcium and iron interfere with one another. See the iron thread already posted too.

You can get Opurity Multi Vitamins from the Desjardin Pharmacy at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. They are chewable and you only need one a day. I bought mine before I left the hospital after surgery. They are pretty good and I like only having to have one instead of others where you have to have 2. All you need is your calcium with Vitamin D. I'm using the Jamison Calcium chews. I have 3 a day. We can only use those for 3 months then have to switch over to a calcium citrate and vitamin D.

They don't make the Spectrum 22 chewables anymore, if that's what you're looking for.  You'll need to get something else and take extra iron at night (preferably with 500 mg of vit C to increase absorption).

Just a piece of advice...before wasting a trip to Desjardins give them a call to see if the multivitamins are in stock. I have been promised they were coming in every day since last Tuesday. I am about ready to order them from the company and pay the shipping.
