Bariatric Rx's - Where to fill in KW/Guelph area?

Does anyone know where I can get my Rx filled for Optifast in the Kitchener area or even Guelph?

I also need to get my others filled, Vitamin K injectable, Tinzaparin, etc.  I got the call on Friday for my surgery Feb. 7 in Hamilton and would prefer not to have to drive to SJH to get them filled.  I need to start the Optifast next Sunday.

Does Guelph General have a pharmacy I can get these filled at?

First congrats on the phone call Krista called me on Friday as well and i have my surgery on Jan 23. If Guelph works for you they do bariatric surgery there so i assume that they would have optifast. I live in Kitchener and just yesterday i went to get my meds at walmart i was able to get everything from them expect the vit k. I had to go to Grand River Hospital.

I did not know it would be available at Wal-Mart.  Which Wal-Mart did you get them filled at as I will do the same.

I got my call on Friday as well and they first offered me Jan. 23rd but it was not enough time for me to do my Optifast, so I got Feb. 7.

sorry Patrick i ment i got my meds but not the optifast from walmart. i had already picked that up from sjh on my surgens appointment. so i think the closes place would be guelph but if i were you call around to see if you can get it ordered in. And if you are from Kitchener try both of the hospital pharmacys.

Why not ask Hamilton to contact Guelph for you to see if you can pick up Optifast there and if that doesn't work, perhaps Hamilton will ship it to you to save you the trip there.  Mine was shipped to me and I had to pay the shipping charges but it was better than having to go 6 hours to  my clinic.

Str how are you dealing with the second day on optifast. I feel horrid.

Day one was pretty hard for me because i found out on friday around 4 that i had to start the shakes the next morning. And i was trying to figure out a good mixture with the shakes. (extra water makes a big difference) But i have a head fog and i feel like the noises my three kids are making are extra loud today.

I was able to only do three yesterday. The one I had just now came right back up. I'll try your suggestion and add moe water. I hope it gets better. Thanks a lot. Hang in there!

Patrick, I had my surgery in Guelph, and they have a supply at the clinic, it is next door to the hospital, (south) The phone number is 519-837-6773 x2700, I would hope if you have a RX they will sell it to you.
