Simona P. so hit the nail on the head.
Be prepared to deal with resentment from those who used to console themselves with the fact that they weren't the most obese person in the office, or wherever.

My surgeon told me 75lbs lost seperates the friends from the enemies.  If someone stays supportive after you hit 75lbs (when it REALLY starts to show), then you're probably good.

But I think lots of people in our life LOVE the role we played - the fattest person in the room.  They could always console themselves that they weren't as fat/big/large as us.  And when that position changes - and they are at risk of taking that job over, they don't like it.

But I think sometimes we can make it worse.  The pure OBESSSION that comes with WLS - with what we eat, and what we do, and the numbers on the scale...sometimes we just don't shut up about it.  And I think it just might drive other people crazy.  I learned to keep my yap shut about my successes etc. unless I was asked - and saved my big bragging for my local support group!
