good morning everyone :)

Before my shift yesterday, I went to the ER to find out about this awful pain I am having. Well, to my surprise, kindda, I am again "full of crap" () The dr did xrays and said that I was constipated and I said "Alot?" and he said "MHMMM!" Gah! I took citra-mag, which has yet to make it come out, grrrrr! So when I get home from work this afternoon, I going to have to take more or find an alternative. I hate being backed up like a freeway.....
I see a nap in my  future :D

B- granola
in my lunch bag
- tomato soup
- ham sandwich
- yoguart
- salad
- protein shake
- laughing co cheese and crackers
D- not sure yet, will decide when I get home from work

all liquids and vitamins in

No sleep again last night.  Whatever the hell this is that I have please **** off and leave me alone.  A week with you has been hell and I've had enough.  I have to leave for Toronto tomorrow and it's totally non-negotiable so I am going to have to suck it up and wear a mask and avoid the chemo room but I have to be there with her.  Lots more hot showers in my day to stay warm and try to loosen up my chest.  I'm not convinced it's a cold, have never had a cold like this before.

Okay enough whining but I"m tired and *****y.

B - only 1 coffee so far, not sitting well and hurts my throat going down so will try a hot tea or maybe some lukewarm water

S - cara cara orange, 1 oz old cheddar

D - ordering out some spicey wonton soup

S - another orange, aiming for tons of vitamin C today

D - will try and eat some stir fry for dinner but if my throat won't cooperate then it's back to a bowl of soup again.

I may just break my no alcohol rule and have a hot toddy before bed so maybe  I can sleep without wheezing.

My protein levels are going to suck today but it is what it is and it's a chore to drink a glass of water today.

Hey Tracey, do you think that you might have strep?  You probably don't even want to think about that.  I was going to suggest Cold FX ( not the daily dose one) but it sounds like you are waaaay beyond that.  Get better soon.

I know you will take good care of your mom first. . . . and then you will crash.  Take care.

Hi Barb,

I originally thought maybe strep as I have had it a few times before but this is different.  It reminds me more of when I had H1N1.  I have been taking ecchinaccea 3 times per day since Tuesday when my throat started feeling off. I was supposed to leave this morning to head to her place to save me 3 hours tomorrow but one look at me at 7am and Charlie said you are not going anywhere.  I was going to call my sister to go but they are away til next weekend so guess I have to suck it up, get a few masks so I don't contaminate my mom or anyone else with whatever this is.  I guess on a positive note, if I get much more ill, I will be right at the hospital and can get checked in emerg.  LOL We are off to Shoppers in a bit to stock up on more meds. I"m going to take my chances that my thyroid is normal today and get some Neo Citran so maybe I can sleep finally.  3 days of no sleep makes for an even *****ier Tracey.

Yikes girl!  Now I know you are really really really sick. . . .when you ask someone else to go with your mom instead of you then you're feeling bad!!!! 

If you are going to sit and wait in a hospital you might as well get 'checked out' in emerg.  I bet it's a longer wait than in the North though.

What's the connection between Neo Citran and thyroids?

I"ll be at Mount Sinai for about 8 hours anyway and no way in hell I"m going to the chemo room feeling like this so may as well sit with all the other sickos.  LOL  I"d drag my sorry sick ass anywhere for my mom but I don't want to make her sick or any of the other chemo patients and that's the only reason I'd ask someone else to go.

I have an overactive thyroid most of the time,and the decongestant in most cold meds, allergy meds, can affect your heart. I get my thyroid checked regularly because it's abnormal, not always overactive but not always normal and the last year it's been normal every time so I am willing to take a chance.

Good morning!

Trying to get 4 loads of laundry done, making some yummy chili, have a bunch of readings to do for school, having my BIL over for dinner.  I tried to have some English muffin at breakfast but it really didn't go down very well.  Bread products are so unpredictable lately..

B - about 1/4 English muffin, egg, 1 slice ham (deli), tiny bit of light cheddar
S - coffee w/ 2T cream
L - 3 oz ham, oz old cheddar
S - protein shake; later,maybe 1/2 apple or a few grapes
D - 1 C LF homemade chili
S - don't know yet, maybe a few ww saltines if I'm craving carbs

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday afternoon! Hope you are feeling better Leanne! I'm still trying to get over a stomach bug/dizzy spells - have been drinking some G2/powerade ZERO to try and add some extra salt/sodium to see if it gets blood pressure back to 'normal'

B - 1/3 cup cheerios with 1tbs protein powder, handful of raspberries
S - tall skinny peppermint latte
L - 3oz ham, 1 cheese string and handful of carrots, 1 tangerine
S - protein bar with maybe some kind of berries or almonds
D - turkey dinner (at moms place)
S - maybe another latte from starbucks, tim hortons or mcdonalds (sugar free syrups at home!)


all water and vitamins in!

Afternoon;

Leanne hope things get started soon...horrible feeling...

Tracey - I am so glad you are aware of the dangers of immuno suppression and illness....figured you would know this smart girl that you are..
Watch yourself OK....you could also have problems...so like the others I hope you get checked out while at Mt Sinai

I have worked like a dog today....and after a long week of regular work...BUT - in the freezer are now egg bites/chili/veggie beef soup....enough individual servings for a few months of healthy eating- perfect for lunch

Today's menu....not perfect....having a problem today with hypoglycemia

B - coffee

b - 1/2 muffin and some OJ to try and bring sugar up
      1/3 cup of chili

l - bagel with creme cheese -

d - turkey with splenda cranberries - carrots and a few mashed taters

s - triscuits and laughing cow if needed

All water and vits
