Advise! When do the losing slow down?
I realize that we all have stalls. I realize that it will pass. My question is at what point does the losing not become easy and the exercising has to really kick in. I am 3 months out. Haven't loss anything in over a month and now gained nearly 6 lbs last week. Extremely worried and anxious. Any advice is appreciated.
It's been more challenging for me, the past two months. I'm 10.5 months out now.
You should likely kick up the exercise. Do you track your intake? What does your daily intake look like? How much protein/carbs are you getting in in a day?
It would probably be a good idea for you to participate in the "what are you doing/eating today" thread. People could give more helpful suggestions if we knew more details.

As a man, you may need more than 60-80 grams of protein. Some people including me are very carb sensitive and lose much better at less than 50 grams (30 better yet) a day. Do you track carbs and calories as well? Also try to get in at least 2 litres of water and more if possible. Any additional excercise is bound to help as well.
Don't be worried, if you're following the guidelines it will work!

I'm 6 months out and things have definitely slowed down. So I'm trying to increase my protein and adding some new exercise to my regular walking. I think we have to be patient and let our bodies adjust - definitely frustrating. Just keep doing what you know you should be doing and it'll work itself out.
Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora. Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.

I am like SamIam - very sensitive to carbs. If I eat too many - no matter how low my overall calories are - I stall. I figured this out at 3 months, and started using FitDay.com to track my food. In my case I need to keep carbs at about 33% of toatl calories. Once I did that, the weight started to REALLY come off. I'm now down 185 lbs in 11 months.

this is the same variable as how much weight does a person lose...if you stick to the plan you probably still have a few months to go...I kept losing until a year post-op...and had a severe stall at about 8 months.
It is also very dependant on how much you have to lose, those with more weight to lose, will lose for longer periods of time.
