Yay. Keepin' on Keepin' on
So I went to my Appointments yesterday at Humber River and they squeezed me in to see the Nurse too.
I met Dr. Klein, Dietician, Social Worker and Nurse. Dr. Klein said there was no psych eval needed. The dietician was impressed with my year long food journal. I have lost 2 more lbs on my own. I had the blood work and urine spec collected yesterday.
Now for the questions. I have an appointment booked for Dr. Glazer the internist on March 9th. I went back downstairs to ask who books the appointment for surgery and she said "the ones upstairs." Does that mean that Dr. Glazer books the appointment for Dr. Klein?
Am I still missing a follow up appointment with the surgeon Dr. Klein? He told me that when I'm done all the pre stuff, we'd talk again to see if I still want to go ahead with the surgery. Who do I buy the Optifast from?
I feel kind of out of the loop since I was transferred from Ottawa.
Thanks again,
Heather
My advice is...dont wait for anyone else to book your appts at this point - stay on top of them.
You'll buy Optifast from Dr. Klein's office at the time the surgery is booked and the receptionist will also book the PATTS appt at that time and tell you when to start Optifast.
Sounds like things are really moving along.
be ready with a calendar when the receptionists for both Dr's Klein and Glazer call - they are extremely busy women in extremely busy practices.
Actually I was quite impressed with them - they juggled amazing amounts of patients without skipping a beat and remained friendly.
They won't have time to muck about while you figure out childcare issues etc. They're not being rude, is all I'm saying.

Thanks for the info and suggestions.
Thank you also for cheering me on.
I also called my GP Dr and booked an appointment at the end of March to change my birth control pill over to depo provera shots.
The little duckies are all lining up in a row.
